ADA

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) became law in 1990. The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. The ADA gives civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities similar to those provided to individuals on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, age, and religion. It guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in public accommodations, employment, transportation, state and local government services, and telecommunications. The ADA is divided into five titles (or sections) that relate to different areas of public life.

Children who fall within this age range will be thoroughly evaluated by a pediatrician to make sure behavior, growth and development is on track for every age. The doctor will also one to ensure that a child is getting all of the nutrition needed.

Primary care

Primary care includes preventive services like diabetes and cancer screenings, diagnosis and treatment of acute injuries and sickness, and management of long-term conditions.

Immigration paperwork

Typically, the physical exam includes looking at your eyes, ears, nose and throat, extremities, heart, lungs, abdomen, lymph nodes, skin, and external genitalia. The doctor will also order a chest X-ray and blood test to check for syphilis. Children will generally be excused from the X-ray and blood test requirement. Paperwork for I-693 will be done in office.

Ultrasound (also called sonography or ultrasonography) is a noninvasive imaging test. An ultrasound picture is called a sonogram. Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time pictures or video of internal organs or other soft tissues, such as blood vessels.

  • So happy with the doctor's kindness. Been coming for the last 10 years. I would just like to thank the doctors and staff at Suffolk Primary Health. I have been using them for a few years now and couldn't be happier! Few weeks ago I had bad pain in my back and couldnt go to work because of that. The doctor at Suffolk Primary Health gave me an injection and some medication, which greatly helped me, and I have been feeling great ever since..

  • PHC's mission is take care of patients who are underserved or stigmatized for any reason and we do an amazing job at it. It's an honor to come to work every day and help people and while that is true in the healthcare field in general it is especially true at PHC. If we weren't here many people would not get the care they need and deserve. We are also lucky to have lots of resources and expert team members to make our day and our patient's lives better..
